“My two weeks at Hambidge were wonderfully restful, generative, and productive. The live/work space was a unique experience—being amongst my in-progress work at all hours was an incredible way of getting lost in my practice whenever I wanted/needed. The resident dinners, hiking trails, things to do on campus, and nearby towns were a wonderful escape. While in residence, I completed an in-progress rug work that has been haunting me for a year, started and finished several weaving samples, and made several preliminary sketches for future works. I also finished reading an amazing book, met wonderful folks at the Anagama kiln firing, and took a day trip to Asheville to see some wonderful art. I’m excited to take everything that this experience generated home with me!”
