Programs and Special Projects Manager
Full-time, Salary, Exempt (40 hours/wk), with Benefits Package
Location: 80% remote with regular presence required on Rabun Gap Campus and occasional participation in Atlanta events

The Programs and Special Projects Manager will play a critical role in planning, scheduling, and executing programs and initiatives across Hambidge’s Rabun Gap campus and Atlanta-based events. Reporting to the Deputy Director, this position provides strategic leadership, project management, and administrative oversight for Antinori Village Programs, workshops, and organizational initiatives. The manager will work closely with Hambidge's Development and Programs teams to ensure alignment with the organization's mission while respecting the legacy of its traditional residency program. This role involves donor and stakeholder engagement, contributing to external communications, media and public relations.

Special projects include participation in staff and board retreats and a significant role in the annual Hambidge Art Auction. The manager will also supervise assigned interns and volunteers.


Digital Media Specialist
Part-Time, Hourly, Non-exempt (10-15 hours/wk)
Location: 95% remote with occasional presence required on Rabun Gap Campus and participation in Atlanta events

The Digital Media Specialist will report to the Executive Director and is responsible for working within the organizational brand, written and visual identity, storytelling and marketing as they produce and disseminate content reflecting Hambidge’s impact and upcoming events through digital media . They will execute the digital components of Hambidge’s overall marketing and communications efforts. This position works closely with Hambidge’s Development and Programs teams to execute communication and marketing strategies that effectively convey Hambidge’s stories and engage donors, stakeholders, and our constituency at large. Responsibilities include Hambidge’s external communications and communications channels. Special projects that fall into this position’s purview include participation in annual staff and board retreats and a significant role in the annual Art Auction.

Core skills range from exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication; listening and interpreting; to strong time management; long and short range planning; strategic thinking; flexibility and an ability to take constructive criticism and adjust concepts midstream in consideration of feedback.


Ceramic Studio Technician
Part-Time, Hourly, Non-exempt (10-15 hours/wk)

The Ceramic Studio Technician is a part-time, year round position that provides technical,  administrative and logistical support for efficient day-to-day functioning of Ceramic programs and supports Hambidge Center workshops. The position is responsible for maintaining studio equipment, materials and supplies in all ceramic studios in accordance  with established policies and procedures, and for making recommendations for repairs and  improvements as observed by daily contact and use. The position oversees studio safety and  maintenance of all studio facilities and equipment. The position serves as liaison to the clay community and is responsible for representing the organization and its ceramic programs to local, regional and national audiences including workshop presenters, participating artists, volunteers, residents and prospective donors.

Studio responsibilities include: maintaining the 2,000 sq. ft. Antinori Pottery Studio and a 350 sq. ft. resident studio with an anagama kiln, 4 electric kilns, 2 gas kilns and 1 raku kiln; assisting residents with firing electric and gas kilns; providing set-up, breakdown and firing support during Anagama firings; providing equipment maintenance; organizing workspaces; routine and deep cleaning; ordering supplies and mixing glazes.

Workshop duties include operational logistics, instructor communication and set-up for ceramic workshops. Duties outside the ceramics facilities include supporting: special events, organizational initiatives, non-ceramic workshops and resident projects. All duties will be performed with care for material and equipment safety and creating a warm and welcoming environment.


Building and Grounds Assistant
Part-Time, Hourly, Non-exempt (24-30 hours/wk)
Location: Rabun Gap Campus

The Building and Grounds Assistant reports to the Building and Ground Manager and is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of Hambidge’s historic structures, new facilities and grounds while interfacing with all facets of the organization including direct contact with resident artists, visiting public, on and off site staff, outside contractors, construction crew and the Board of Directors. Primary responsibilities include: diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance issues, completing routine maintenance and repairs for interior and exteriors of artist studios, common areas, and grounds. Core skills range from plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, roads, waste management, including removal of fallen trees and brush, site drainage and minor trail maintenance.
