Interest in our anagama firings is high, so participation is determined in advance by a lottery.

The next Hambidge anagama firing, led by Vernon Smith, is scheduled for May 1-3; unloading on May 9, 2020.

If you would like to participate as a potter, fill out our Lottery Sign-up Form by FEBRUARY 14. Signing up does NOT guarantee you a place in the firing. You are just putting your name in the hat.

If you get a spot, there is a $100 participation fee for the Anagama Firing, which includes up to 2000 cubic inches of space in the kiln. There is a 1¢ per cubic inch fee for extra pieces, if we can fit them in.

Note: Visitors are welcome to stop by and observe for free.
