Late Summer Wildflower Walk

The last blooms of the season are more than just pretty faces, many are herbal remedies and wild foods. Learn to identify and appreciate the abundance of late summer wildflowers with herbalist Patricia Kyritsi Howell. This is an easy walk around the Hambidge Center trails, but attendees should be able to walk on uneven ground in full sun without discomfort. We will cover approximately a mile with no sitting.

As always, please dress in layers, wearing long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and closed-toe shoes or boots. Bring water, any medicines you might require, including an Epi-pen if you have severe allergic reactions, and a walking stick if needed.

What about rain? If the forecast is for 80-100% rain, we will have to cancel. If it’s cloudy with a smaller chance of rain, we’ll give it a try.
