WE HOPE TO RESCHEDULE THIS HIKE LATER IN SPRING.
On March 21, Drew Leviton will lead a fascinating birding hike. After a brief orientation, we will go walking around the property, find, and identify birds as we can. Note: this will be a casual walk rather than a strenuous hike.
Drew has been an avid birder for 50 years. He’s participated in several Audubon Society Christmas bird counts and worked with professional ornithologists in a banding program.
Participants should bring a pair of binoculars, a bird book, a smartphone with eBird on it, a water bottle, and a snack, as well as any medication they may require on a normal or emergency basis. Dress for hiking, with boots and appropriate layered clothing.
In the case of heavy rain or high winds, this hike will be cancelled.
