About the Workshop Instructor - Mindy Chaffin
I’ve been making functional pottery since 1999. I’m currently the Ceramic Studio Technician at the Hambidge Center in Rabun Gap, Georgia. My work is inspired by the clustered blossoms of mountain laurel, river currents, seed pods, patterns left after a hard rain and the natural world that surrounds me. I hope my pots encourage the exploration of the throughlines between nature and our everyday lives, blurring the boundaries between outside and inside, creating space for the unexpected.
