Interest in our Anagama Firings is high, so participation is determined in advance by a lottery.

The next Hambidge Anagama Firing, led by Vernon Smith, is scheduled for October, 18-20, 2024; unloading on October 26.

If you would like to participate as a potter, fill out our Lottery Sign-up Form by August 23, 2024. Signing up does NOT guarantee you a place in the firing. You are just putting your name in the hat.

If you get a spot, there is a $125 participation fee for the Anagama Firing, which includes up to 2000 cubic inches of space in the kiln. There is a 1¢ per cubic inch fee for extra pieces, if we can fit them in.

Note: Non-participating visitors are welcome to stop by and observe for free, as long as you arrange your visit in advance with the Hambidge Office at office@hambidge.org or 706-746-7324.
